Hi I’m Leah

Hi, I’m Leah!

I’m the owner and Licensed Esthetician behind The Sunroom Wax Studio, and waxing has been such a huge part of my life for years. I’m originally from Pennsylvania, where my journey in the beauty industry began before eventually bringing me here to the Myrtle Beach area and, ultimately, to creating a space of my own.

I attended Strand College of Hair Design and became a licensed esthetician in 2021, but my love for waxing started even before that. Over the years, I’ve worked hands-on with thousands of appointments, continued developing my technique, trained other waxers, and learned that being a great waxer is about so much more than simply removing hair. It’s about making someone feel comfortable, respected, confident, and completely safe in your room.

And when I tell you I understand what it’s like to be on the other side of the wax pot I mean it. I’ve personally had essentially every service I offer, so I know what it feels like to walk into a room, get on the table, and trust someone with areas of your body you may feel vulnerable about. I know which services make you think, “Okay, THAT one hurt,” and which ones are way easier than you expected. That perspective has shaped the way I wax my own clients. I never want you to feel rushed, judged, embarrassed, or like you can’t ask me a question.

Creating The Sunroom was my chance to take everything I’ve learned and create the waxing experience I would want for myself: private, welcoming, personal, detail-oriented, and genuinely fun. There is no “perfect body” you need to have before coming to see me. Hair grows. Bodies are bodies. Come exactly as you are, and I’ll take care of the rest.

And because apparently every waxer has a favorite service… mine is a full back wax. I can’t even give you a glamorous explanation for it other than it’s just SO satisfying. Give me a full back and a fresh pot of wax and I’m happy.

Outside of the wax room, I’m just Leah. I’m a huge dog person and very proud dog mom to my Australian Shepherd, Flynn, who is basically my entire world. You’ll probably hear about him at some point during your appointment. I’m also incredibly lucky to have my boyfriend, Marco, and a family that has supported me through this whole adventure from dreaming about having my own studio to actually making The Sunroom Wax Studio real.

And if you haven’t already guessed from the studio… my favorite color is yellow. To me, yellow feels like sunshine, happiness, warmth, optimism, and those little moments that instantly make a day feel brighter. That feeling became a huge inspiration behind The Sunroom. I wanted this space to feel light and happy from the second you walk in a place where you can relax, laugh, talk about life, get an amazing wax, and leave feeling just a little brighter than when you came in.

The Sunroom Wax Studio is incredibly personal to me. It’s a little piece of everything I love, everything I’ve learned throughout my waxing journey, and the kind of experience I believe every client deserves.

I can’t wait to welcome you in.

Come as you are. Leave a little brighter.
